Site Rules

1. Objectionable Content

Objectionable Content can be described in a variety of ways but the primary ones we're thinking of at hardWIRED would be:

  1. Not offending other users with the content you post such as bad language and personal attacks.
  2. Not posting illegal or copyright content or instructions on how to obtain them, To be perfectly honest if you post a thread on how to use Torrents to download Movies or Games hardWIRED Could get into some pretty deep... y'know, So in short don't bother posting explicit information on how to obtain files or direct linking.
  3. NO TORRENT FILES We don't care what the content is, Where it comes from, Who uploaded the original, Whatever. Some people don't understand the concept of Objectionable Content, So despite the fact torrents often distribute fully legal files

2. Sabotaging/Vandalising the Wiki

Myself and Simon have a very clear goal what we want to do with the wiki as well as the boards, And that would be educating the masses by providing clear cut information that's human friendly. ANY attempt to vandalise or sabotage the wiki and you will be permanently removed from the site via an IP Address ban which is non-reversible. The wiki records the IP address of Any and All edits made to the wiki so we can track the activity of potential vandals. If you decide you're going to come back with a Proxy it's not going to fool the wiki, And we will be informing ISPs about your continued activities. We've seen it happen before, the outcome is usually your ISP Hard blocking you from said site.

3. Mutual Respect

Even though hardWIRED is a very laid back site when it comes to how the members treat each other we expect you to treat other members with the same respect you'd treat me or Simon with, or any other member of staff here at the site. If somebody posts in a thread that's not as experienced as you don't just call them a noob or you'll recieve a rather large e-slap from the admins, Treat them with respect and guide them towards the solution. That way to problem gets solved quicker and the person in question will be happier. Post links to sources of information (Keep rule 1 in mind however), Ask for more information about the problem if you need it, Post screenshots ect. Do what it takes to help the member, And you'll be helping hardWIRED Grow :)
